Oak park
- Malcolm (11th Jan 2020 - 13:01:58)

I see wimpy have applied for their phase 2 plan NO 34310/041 . Still NO link road . Wimpy will have built over 400 Houses in Liphook 63 at Canada way 350 at oak park with no infrastructure layout . Some traffic calming in longmoor Road that’s about it.This sort of mass development without infrastructure must stop.It is completely destroying Liphook. They will say that they pay into the community chest at EHDC but we do NOT see any of that spent in Liphook. We need some dramatic change in the way Liphook’s FUTURE is decided.

There are a lot of houses in those plans, virtually all the way up to the A3, I thought there were going to be some fields left?

Yes you quite correct lots of houses witch is the point no infrastructure . But they have put in a very large open space a sangs on top of the hill up to popes field for the use of the residents of the new estate.Would have been better to have had a link road with a spur down to lark rise with a large car park to serve the schools and also had the allotments there much more useful to the community. You could still have had the open space for the kids to play in while the parents worked in the allotments. The DEVELOPERS could do so much more for our community.

For the avoidance of any confusion. the current planning application for phase 2 of the Oak Park development is on behalf of Redrow who acquired this parcel of land from Easterton who were the original developers.
Taylor Wimpey are not involved in Phase 2.
