Petersfield Heath Lake
- David (14th May 2011 - 18:56:57)

Does anyone know if it is permissable to take a canoe onto the lake on Petersfield Heath?

When my children were younger, we could hire rowing boats and canoes on the lake, they used to be found by the childrens play area, mind you that was some years ago, try asking the recreational department at the council in Petersfield.
Good luck

I used to canoe on the lake but I wouldn't like to tell you how many years ago that was. As for now there's one way obvious way to find out......

I'm confident that the answer to canoing on the Heath Pond is OK - but wise to confirm with the Town Clerk. There is a need to respect the fishermen and boating franchise in particular.

I remember using my canoe on the lake and nobody was worried but that was some years ago now. There was no sign saying we couldnt.

Was searching for an answer to this and found this www.petersfield-tc.gov.uk/Grounds the lake can be boated privately with a license purchased from the town office on a daily or annual basis.
