Helium balloons, Peep Inside - Linda Costello (2nd Nov 2019 - 12:19:35) I have been selling balloons in Peep Inside for over 18 years and if customers buy balloons somewhere else I have filled them with my helium but alas those days are gone I am now limited with the helium I can purchase. So please don’t get angry and annoyed when I refuse to blow up balloons bought on the internet, as this is happening far too often. We are happy to continue to blow up balloons bought from us here in Peep inside as we do everyday.

Re: Helium balloons, Peep Inside - Helen (2nd Nov 2019 - 16:12:53) Apparently the US government held an auction of helium which put the prices up and some wholesalers are stockpiling it to make more money from the retailers.

Re: Helium balloons, Peep Inside - Ann (8th Nov 2019 - 15:05:47) It has long been known that horses, cattle and other wildlife all die through consuming helium filled balloons that have landed in their fields - anything up to 50 miles away.

Re: Helium balloons, Peep Inside - Jim (13th Nov 2019 - 17:15:52) @Mandi, there is only one source of helium in the world and that is rapidly being depleted. When its gone then no more MRI scans. The helium in balloons goes into the atmosphere and then leaks into space (the speed of helium atoms being greater than the escape velocity). Which is the better use of this limited resource: kids balloons or life-saving MRI scans?
