Bohunt Manor: Gospel Hall Planning Application
- Philip Jordan (9th May 2011 - 13:23:11)

The senior planning office for the South Downs National Park (SDNP) Authority had recommended rejection of the Exclusive Brethrens application for a 650 seater Hall on a 1.1 hectar site at Bohunt Manor.

At the SDNP Plannnig Committee meeting this morning in Midhurst the Authority unanimously supported the senior planners recommendation following representation from three objectors and three supporters.

The planning application has therefore been rejected.

Thanks to all those who registered their objection with East Hants District Council and or signed the petition of objection.

A great relief for many. Big thank you for those who worked so hard to reject the dangerous cult's plans.

I'm a bit confused about the situation with Bohunt Manor Gardens? I thought these were the grounds under threat from the planning application - but then saw that Rescue Remedies had their fundraising day there.. So is that just an 'in the mean time' thing until the powers at be decide what to build on it? Or are the gardens and the lake etc. staying put?
Have had a google about this but couldn't find anything!

Hi Sarah, just so you know, Bohunt Manor is owned and occupied by IML Ltd - this includes the gardens and lake. We don't own the fields that are adjacent to Portsmouth Road and they are the ones that the development is proposed for. The landowner very kindly gave us permission to use one of the fields last Saturday as a car parking area for the fundraising day we were holding on behalf of Rescue Remedies. I hope that this clears up any confusion but do let me know if you would like any further information.

As far as I'm aware the surrounding fields on the Bohunt Estate are owned by Gerriwell Management, a development company based in Lichtenstein.

i doesnt rellay matter,to me as to whether the GOSPEL HALL plan on BOHUNT MANOR,was granted or not...but they are not an evil cult, they are happy people,i have spoken to them many times, and despite the possibility of their discrimanation towards women, are just as capable of conducting their community affairs as well as anyone else..
two points...this is LIPHOOK remember..only fifty miles from
LONDON..what the devil(forgive the word) would you do if an application for a Mosque was put forward?
Also, may i turn your attention to the CULT OF BOHUNT SCHOOL?,where the new cult leader is testing his cult members with tyrannical behaviour?,what happens to our kids with the teachers who believe his leadership?...or scared to question the leader in the for fear of getting his pay docked..or private conversations between friends on facebook,'bugged' by the leader?
anyway,'im the wife of a teacher..wheres the NASUWT at BOHUNT SCHOOL?...and wheres the common sense in calling a cult an evil one, where we prepared to partake in one anyway?..does a majority mean it isnt a cult?

Ok Dianne, can you get back to us as to whether this is the gist of your post.

The Brethren are not an evil cult, but just happy people
The Brethren behave in a discriminatory way towards women.
The Brethren can conduct their affairs as well as anyone else.
The people of Liphook would object to a Muslim planning application for a Mosque
Bohunt School is a Cult
The Head of Bohunt School is a tyrant and the teachers are members of his tyrannical regime.
Teachers at Bohunt who question the head have their pay docked
Teachers at Bohunt are being watched on facebook by the head
There is no National Association of Schoolmasters/ Union of Women Teachers allowed at Bohunt School.
It is not common sense to call a cult evil
If an organisation is in a majority position and not a minority position it cannot be a cult?

(where we prepared to partake in one anyway? Sorry I cannot decipher this at all)

I am interested to hear your points Dianne, but request that you write in a clearer fashion so that we can understand your sentences.
