Somewhere in the middle but they have all been messed with by whoever condensed them (with a trowel)!
I am standing as an 'Independent' for the Parish Council. You can read my flyer on this site by clicking on the home page and following the links.
You can vote for up to 12 people for Parish Council.
I am happy to answer your questions on this site.

Dawn,
Before i go and vote can you tell me where you stand on the new football facility ( hopefully at Bohunt Manor)needed by the new Hampshire cup, and Hampshire league winners to play at the higher level this village football team needs to play at. The football club has about 300 members, probably the biggest involvement by village people on a weekly basis with people from 5 to 75 taking part and watching the teams. With only 1 full size and 2 small sided pitches they can call "there own" at Liphook Rec.

Hi Michael,
Well with regards to sports I am a bit conflicted. Our family play/enjoy rugby, hockey, kickboxing, swimming and BMX jumping.
With the exception of the kickboxing club which is excellent, we have spent almost every weekend of the children’s sporting lives driving them into Haslemere, or other districts such as Petersfield, to their clubs [or jumps] as Liphook as either no [or no adequate] facilities for these sports.
I am proud of our football team, and as I understand it a new pitch is proposed at the Bohunt Manor site? [Perhaps current Councillors can join in here to confirm this] but for families like ours who enjoy other sports Liphook is woefully inadequate.
In addition to [at present] our solitary ‘team sports’ field, I look forward to the day that the pitches around Bohunt are choc full of spectators cheering on Liphooks’ successful Cricket and Rugby teams.
I am sorry if I have not addressed your question fully Michael. I have never attended a football match and probably never will. But that doesn’t mean I don’t support the success of our team. I would just like to see other team sports have a crack at the whip as well.
Hopefully, some other councillors will join in with this thread to let you know their opinions.
Thank you for your question.
Dawn

Only one full side and two small sided pitches to call their own? Plus planning permission for a new one. It would seem that football is (or will be) very well provided for compared to other sports in the village14- particularly as many sports have to provide all their own facilities.

Dawn,
Thanks for replying to my question. And no you didnt really answer it so may be you will become a politician!
I have 3 boys all of which have to be taken out of the village for their various sports and recreational activities so maybe if you are elected we can talk.
The reason i picked the football question is they seem to be the most succesful sports team in the village and need the councils support to play at the level there teams are capable of playing at.
Cheers
Michael
liz,
Have looked again at the nominations and can not see your name so as the football chant goes "who are ya".
