PRE VIEW OF TOMORROWS PAPER- The PARISH COUNCIL
- Angela Wing (20th Apr 2011 - 14:36:22)

There is likely to be a smiley picture of Councillor Nigel Newman in the paper tomorrow, declaring that he has never been charged with attemted murder and giving us the impression that he is a pillar of our community!

There is probably going to be a supportive statement for his his friend /fellow Councillor Anna James, the "well respected Councillor " or maybe AGAIN from the Chairman Jeremy Austin-Oslen?

The Good news it was not attempted murder he was charged with.

The bad news is it was criminal damage.

Do you not feel reassured by this?

If this is not bad enough!!

[Potentially libellous text removed]

I understand a copy of Nigel Newmans charge sheet is in the public domain. Can someone please attach it to this thread.

I cannot understand how Newman and buddies are still "in office"?

Can someone explain this to me?

To answer the question above , it is probably spin and smoke screens that has kept the bad coucillors in for many years.

You were correct except thankfully Nigel has not made front page with his election broadcast- good to cultivate friendships with the local journos! Having heard a bit about what happened it appears that the charge was actually not attempted murder but criminal damage. If this can be disproved then I stand corrected. The point is with this sort of background is he of good enough character to be running the Parish Council?

Angela must work at the Newspaper to have predicted this so well. The " Pillar of the Community" bit and the "Smilely face" .was certainly there!

But the support from Cllr Anna James was not there and the support from Cllr Jeremy Austin- Oslen. was also missing.this time.

Maybe, Cllr Jeremy and Cllr Anna James thinks it may damage their credibility if they are seem to be supporting Cllr Newman at this point.

Is someone going to be posting Nigel Newman's Charge sheet soon?

Just to clarify 'ed' is not short for editor

Incase you haven't noticed he isn't running the council anymore.. All Mr Newman has tried to do is help people and projects in Liphook.. He's ten times a better person than any of you.. You want to give the bloke a break and move on!!..
