I am jealous!
- Sudha Rai (15th Apr 2011 - 17:51:55)
Why am I jealous?
Any publicity is nonetheless PUBLICITY!
I read all about the Royal Anchor,Whitelys and the Green Dragon in Liohook but hardly anything about the Gurkha Chautari Restaurant in Station Road...I am so jealous!
Please do write something about your visit (if you have been there) or suggest /reccomend anything you would like served there..we are celebrating the Royal Wedding by offering a free drink with a Special Traditional Nepalese Wedding Meal on that evening!
Do come along...we would love to see you!

Hi Sudah
I will say that we use it everytime for any celebration we can, we have even introduced friends to your wonderful restaurant. I must say, we use it mostly on a Sunday lunch, and are always surprised that so few people use it, but it does give us the best service ever!
For a change my son took me out for Mothering Sunday to an establishment in Farnham. Offering what looked like a fantastic deal - eat all you want for 14.99 (with charges if you left meals - and no you could not take any home). But they charged a 10% service charge over the whole bill- which made it high.
He summed it well - 'For value for money and food quality - the Gurkha is the best' (no service charge). He took his new Girlfriend for a meal - must be good value!!!.

Hi Cath,
We would love to see you and your little one on Sundays..how old is she?We are more than happy to provide a suitable high chair for her/him.
We don't do anything special on a Sunday, but if you have seen our Menu there are 95 items to choose from...mild to medium to hot.We also have a few Oriental and Indian dishes. If there is any food allergies or dislikes just ask the staff and they will ensure your requests.

Hi Sudha,
Thanks for organising last night we thoroughly enjoyed it. As a regular it was nice to try something different. We loved the Kwati Soup, didn't know Nepalese people did soup, a bit like Chinese soup but spicy. Lovely, may be you could put some on your menus? Also we loved the Pork with Pak Choi, again would love to see this on the menu, also would love Pak Choi as a side order too.
The Nepali style chicken was a bit too authentic for me - too many bones! But..... the flavour was delicious.
The tables were laid beautifully and I look forward to your next event,
Many thanks
Katy
