Charity Quiz and Raffle Night 17th April 8.00pm - Green Dragon Quiz (14th Apr 2019 - 11:13:19) Hello good people of Liphook, This week, The Green Dragon is running a Raffle and Quiz Night on the 17th April @ 8.00pm in aid of 'The Blood Runners'. This a letter we have received from them showing how the money we have raised so far is helping the wonderful charity: "Attn The Manager Dear Sir, I am writing to say an enormous thank you, on behalf of all of our Members, for your help in raising £373.00 through two quizzes and having one of our collection boxes. The money will keep one of our fleet of motorcycles fuelled for about four months. The support of organisations such as yours means a great deal to SERV Surrey & South London. I understand that a lot of this is due to the support and enthusiasm of Jacqui and Mehmet, would you please convey our thanks to both of them? As you may be aware a significant portion of what we do is generally supported by our own Members using their own vehicles, many of whom do more than their allotted two shifts a month. The provision of our own vehicles and running costs allows some of the harder working Members to reduce their costs while increasing our exposure to the public and you help makes this possible. Our workload is ever increasing with a 10% rise in deliveries last year over 2017 bringing a total of some 5,700 deliveries including 250 donated breast milk collections. Once again thank you all from all our Membership, your generosity is very much appreciated. As well as the raffle for the Blood Runners, all quiz money taken on the night is for prizes, with some added to our rolling Jackpot which stands at £260 at the moment. I hope to see you there.
