Fields on the B3004/Headley Rd - any plans?
- Louise (1st Apr 2019 - 19:45:16)

Good evening

We are starting to look at moving to the area and having had a quick look at Google Maps, we notice that the fields on Headley Road B3004 on the right hand side (if you were leaving Liphook to Conford) have a large patch in the middle looking cleared.

Do any of you know if this area has been earmarked for more new builds or another use? There’s already a lot of new builds started and still the Redrow ones to begin, so it seems rather excessive if this is.

We’re interested as we’ve spotted a house on Headley Rd which overlooks the field. Not a deal breaker if it is going to have an estate facing but certainly something to consider!

I have just looked on planning for east Hants but I couldn’t spot anything but maybe I put in the wrong location. Someone with local knowledge would probably have heard on the grapevine.

Many thanks

Louise

There are plans to build along the Headley Rd in EHDCs local plan do not know though if it is the same part you are looking at, the land is on the left hand side out of Liphook towards Conford opposite Hunters Chase. Liphook side of the A3.

Hi Louise - if you mean the fields on the big bend of the Headley Road, these are very much farmland and have been farmed for years. I think they have recently been ploughed and planted? As far as I am aware there are no building plans for this plot.

Hi Louise,

Do you mean the field that is straight after the A3 bridge on the left hand side if you're heading to Hill House Hill/Conford/Passfield. The field just before Lowsley House?

That field used to have rams in it. It is now empty. It was bought by an investor without planning permission. I have seen it listed on auction websites to be sold as smaller plots without planning permission.

As far as I'm aware any development there would be a long way off.

Welcome to the area. You'll love it here. Great place. And very strategic.

I've seen the plots advertised as housing plots - but they don't have any planning permission. I imagine someone has just taken a punt on buying agricultural land hoping to make big bucks if the settlement boundaries change.
