Walk ideas
- Jeanne (28th Mar 2019 - 18:03:01)

Please can I have some suggestions for quiet rural walks locally? I am fed up with dirt bikes seemingly in all the woods now - down in the bomb pits, over the badger sett, now all over Iron Hill. All I'd like is some hush to enjoy the birds, look out for newborn fawns, etc.

Ideas gratefully received, but not comments supporting the bikers thanks

Try Bramshott Common. It's lovely there and plenty of wildlife. Park in the car park at the end of the road and head down the hill and then right along the valley. Very quiet down there and plenty of deer and pheasants!

I walk a lot in this area but have never heard of the Badger sett, can you tell me where that is?

Lovely walks through the golf course and over to Milland,

Bramshott /Ontario over to Waggoner wells very pretty and takes in the sunken lanes

Superb and very quiet walking through Ludshott manor ( I think it is called that!) and over fields.

All the above don’t require you to drive first if you like a good leg stretch , distances for the above vary between 5 and 12 miles depending how much time you have.

Excellent - thanks for these.

The badger sett is in the woods off the Sussex Border Path. It was active till quite recently, but I fear they've been frightened off since the motor bikes added it to their track. Shame
