Internet problems today

Anyone else experiencing problems with the internet yesterday evening and today? I'm not sure if it is just my router not working properly. It is producing WiFi for our devices, but doesn't connect to the internet.
Any suggestions?

Hi, yes, we are having issues - we are with BT - keeps dropping out.

Hi Caroline,
My internet completely dropped out on Wednesday at around 2am too.
I have tried a different BT HomeHub and different phone cable (the phone line works from the same socket). Nothing made any difference, it's as if I have been disconnected completely.
I called BT in the morning (yesterday), they are sending an engineer round tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, as the engineer that I spoke with on the phone didn't have any other reports of problems in the area.
They did send me a BTMiniHub today "Our promise to keep you connected", which is like a mobile broadband hub which I can use for free while the broadband is down.

Hi,
Q. Who is your provider?
Q. What is the model name of the router your using?
Q. Is there any lights flashing or missing on the router that would indicate the internet is off, like ADSL/DSL/Internet or indeed anything?
Q. Have you tried unplugging and replugging the following followed by rebooting your router - Cable from Tel socket to router (both ends)
Q. Does your telephone still work? dial tone etc, if so do you have a filter, (little matchbox sized thing that splits the tel and internet line from your main tel line?
Q. Have you pressed reset on the router (Dont!) but have you?

Update:
BT engineer fixed the problem remotely, said that there was a power fault in the green box.
Things appear to be working ok for me, hopefully for you too.

Ours went down on Wednesday as well (Passfield area). BT are coming out on Tuesday although the remote tests they did indicated that it’s not a fault their end, although the same thing happened in Aug 18 and it was their fault.
I’ve tried a second hub, replaced and checked wiring so I’m confident it’s them and not me.

Thanks for the replies. After a couple of days of being away, I phoned my ISP who tested the line and confirmed there is a fault. Engineer coming Monday.

Passfield was wiped out yesterday.
I spent hours trying to resolve the issues only to be told that BT servers were not working for our particular type of connection.
to be honest I have no clue what they are even talking about when the tech guys get on the phone LOL
I had an unexpected day off work but lots of unhappy clients - as I conduct 'facetime' meetings in British Sign Language. Went for a really long dog walk and discovered new places.

I had working Internet yesterday and I'm in Passfield. Never had an issue with plusnet 👍😊
