Community Wellbeing Project Expansion into Guide Hall - Liphook Wellness Group Update
- Sumi Olson (20th Mar 2019 - 23:37:41)
Dear Supporters,
As you know, the Liphook Wellbeing Group is a non-profit Community Project which offers social activities & support for our community - all ages, genders, and abilities are very welcome! For individuals, carers, families, and young people, we offer social, mental, physical, and emotional good health.
We're delighted to announce that from Saturday 6th April (10-1 pm) our monthly Wellness Mornings at the Liphook Millennium Centre will be even bigger and better! Thanks to popular demand, we're expanding into the Guides Hall next door, so we can offer our community even more treatments, activities, and wellness products & services!
From the 6th April our treatment areas will expand giving you more opportunities to enjoy respite, healing, relaxation, grooming, and wellbeing. Our practitioners include local reflexologists, reiki masters, massage experts, nail care experts, and more.
Our local suppliers of wellness products & services will be available in the Main Foyer, while the Liphook Village Market will remain in the Main Hall as usual.
With additional treatments, workshops, and wellness products on offer, we''ll also have new activities for you to enjoy whatever your age and interests.
Our new cafe area will offering you sweet & savoury food and refreshments so you can stay, take part in our treatments & activities, and enjoy elevenses, brunch, and lunch too!
As well as Lego stations, you can play chess, drafts, Connect 4, cards, dominoes, puzzles, and other games at our special community games area. Bring friends and play with fellow puzzlers in a relaxed social setting.
Our Create & Donate Table will be packed with yarn, needles, charity project patterns, and helpers! Whatever your experience and knowledge, you'll be able to take part in our social charity crafting - bring your own work in progress and enjoy knit/sew and natter with like minded people.
We'll have skittles, rock painting, jewellery workshops, card making workshops, textile craft workshops, craft demos, seed bomb workshops, clay play, crafting & colouring, and much, much more.
We'll have young people who are raising money for trips or charities offering activities, games, and items and we hope you'll support them and our other local businesses.
We've excellent feedback from our previous full-day Activity & Pamper events and we are thrilled to be able to offer this regular half-day option to our community.
It's free to Enter our Wellness Mornings, and our activities are a mix of free (donation appreciated to help LWG cover its costs), low cost, and special prices.
You can pre-book treatment sessions directly with our practitioners & therapists to avoid waiting or disappointment. Some will offer drop in places, others will be pre-booking. Contact details will be available on the Event discussion page.
Please spread the word - as a non-profit community project, we'd rather spend money on offering events to our community than on Facebook adverts!
Thank you for all your support and good wishes!
