pre-school for my three year old
- thea (1st Apr 2011 - 11:45:53)
I am moving to Liphook with my three children in July and hope that my eldest will get a place in a local primary school - she is 4. My three year old goes to a lovely pre-school at the moment and I would love him to attend a part time pre-school/nursery school, perhaps attached to a primary school. Does anyone know a good one? I also have a 2 year old. Any suggestions for drop ins for him would be welcome! They are all lively and sociable and would benefit from being with lots of other kids.
Thanks for your help in advance - you guys were very helpful for my last post when I was wondering whether to go ahead and move to Liphook - took your advice and have done so!

Hi, there are three pre-schools in Liphook. Worth going around and taking a look at them. All of them have excellent reputations so it is really down to personal preference. Little Cherubs, Mad Hatters and The Willows. Little Cherubs is in the methodist church next to the library, The Willows on the recreation grounds next to the church and Mad Hatters is at Bohunt School.

Thea
There are 3 pre-school nurseries in Liphook - Mad Hatters next to Bohunt School, Little Cherubs at the Methodist Church and The Willows at the Recreation Ground. I believe all of them are really good.
There are loads pf drop-in groups as well:
Monday am- Tiddlers which is a messy play group
Tuesday am- Little Lambs which is a playgroup at the Church Centre
Wednesday am - Little Green Frogs at the Church Centre, this is a singing group
Friday am, Piglets Playtime (aka Liphook Parent & Toddlers) at the Church Centre.
These groups will get you started, and then you can find out about all the other groups thta run in the area.
I'm at the Friday Piglet's Playtime - so hope to see you there!
When are you moving to Liphook?
Sharon

Thanks for these answers. Will look into the options. Sharon - we are moving end of July beginning of August, and yes, may well see you at the Church centre on Friday which is just around the corner.

Great, it would be lovely to see you. The playgroup runs from 10am until 12pm. We also run during the school holidays.

Hi i moved to liphook in sept last year and had the same issue!
i enrolled her into little cherubs.
The lady that owns/runs it (maureen) has had the company for something like 15years. She loves children. They are right next to the park so take the children on nature walks and for a play on the swings, they do cookery class every week where they make hot cross buns and cookies and they do french class too.
My daughter gets out of the car and runs into little cherubs-doesnt even say bye half the time!

I run Tiddlers on Monday a fantastic place for prechool children to make a mess and we clear it up. Playdough, painting, sand, water and themed crafts all at the Guide Hall 9.45 - 11.15. Why not give us a try?
