kindness in the community - janice enticknap (3rd Mar 2019 - 15:21:36)
I was shopping in Sainsburys this morning which was proving to be a physically painful experience due to health reasons.I was cheered up by buying some spring plants along with my other shopping and proceeded to the checkout to pay. when I opened my purse I discovered I had left my card at home and didn't have enough cash to pay for everything .I became distressed as much with my pain as the decision to forgo the purchase of the plants.
The gentleman in the queue behind me handed me a generous sum of money to enable me to proceed with all my purchases and was not interested in repayment. I would like to thank him for his kind generosity. It is acts of spontaneous kindness and concern for our fellow man which lifts the spirit and I will be reminded of this every time I look at my newly planted pots of spring flowers although the planting will have to wait for a day or two.

Hi Gilly
Thankyou for your kind offer but I like to garden. Its just a case of not doing too much as I am waiting for a knee replacement. Luckily I am blessed with a very helpful family.
