Mercedes X Class - Headley Road 8:40
- N (4th Feb 2019 - 21:37:09)
Official Mercedes car fully stickered up promoting the X class and you drove it like an utter lunatic this morning from The Avenue past Tunbridge Crescent towards Bordon.
Many people speed along this road but I have never seen any car going as fast as you were with utter contempt of the 30 limit.
There were many children walking along this road to school, you should be ashamed of yourself, and stupid to do it in a fully stickered up car. Slow down.

That's interesting as it sounds like the same di*# that drove up the pavement when going down The Avenue before turning left towards Bordon. Lucky that my kids were not with me as I was walking home having just dropped off at school otherwise he would have had a fist mark in the side of the Merc. If seen again will get a video and report.

I wondered how a Merc could be a "poverty spec eyesore" - then I looked up the X Class.....!

Hi everyone,
"Off with his head" I hear you cry.
I am really sorry, but I do confess.
Firstly driving with two wheels up on the pavement. Its unfortunately a regular occurrence at school drop-off and collection as The Avenue gets gridlocked.
A silly driver decided to force her way down The Avenue totally blocking my right of way. I had several cars pull up behind me so could not reverse. Another two cars pulled up behind her and she could not reverse either. With more cars waiting to turn in off Headley Road it was all a bit of a mess.
I carefully looked (i.e. no pedestrians nearby) before slowly mounting the pavement and making my way around her car. There was no other option and the cars behind me followed suit.
As I came to exit The Avenue, a white van came down Headley Road. With the queue of cars waiting to turn in to The Avenue this van drove at speed on the wrong side of the road, overtaking well within the zebra crossing. Very Dangerous as you all might agree, especially at this busy time.
Well, anyway, I admit that (when safe, and the road was clear) I did accelerate hard to catch up with sign-written van to get his number which I duly reported to the Police.
I also have the footage on the dash cam which has been uploaded to the Police who were most grateful. This dash cam also includes my location and speed for both events to which the Police are fully aware.
Just trying to do good which seems to have got me in to a bit of pickle.
I can only apologise for being such a di*#.

Interesting - if true it does show there is two sides to some stories. Well done for owning up (would have been braver if you had given your name).

Thanks Jim,
For a majority of grumbles on this web site anonymity prevails.
When confessing to the mob this must certainly be the rule, especially when those with raised concern (and rightly so too) also wish to remain anonymous.
William.
