English Hawthorn

I am looking for pieces of English hawthorn about 4ft (1200mm) plus long and about 2-3 inches plus (55 - 77mm) in diameter. I want them to make/craft Japanese practice wooden weapons used in Kendo and Aikido.
I am a pensioner and have just started Aikido as a way of keeping fit as I get older - I need all the help I can get !!!!.
I can cut collect or even cut from hedge if you'd allow.
