Re: Fun netball - (6th Jan 2019 - 21:01:39) Hi Emma. Love the idea of an adult netball session. In my late 40’s and haven’t played for years. Don’t even think I can remember the rules. Is this a hurdle I can get over by participating? Worried I might feel a bit of an idiot?!

Re: Fun netball - Helen (6th Jan 2019 - 21:14:22) Hi Emma I used to play netball at school and really enjoyed it. However now in my fifties and very unfit - would this be suitable for me? I’m worried I’d be amongst really good players and would look stupid. But I really want to get fit and am thinking if I do something I know I enjoyed I might be able to do it. Please can you reassure me that you’re a friendly bunch and that you’d help me. Thanks.

Re: Fun netball - Emma (6th Jan 2019 - 22:28:04) Hey all, Fantastic response! It’s definitely the year of netball. We are a very friendly group; just started up as some mums that wanted to play & train. Pop on some sporty clothes & you’re good to go. There are people of all ages & abilities. It’s very much accepted by all that we take it at our own pace so sometimes you’ll just walk your position or even step in & out where it feels right for you. We find that mostly when people are playing, they forget they’re even running. We have two level 2 netball coaches so always check out anything that might affect people’s play/injuries etc. My thinking is our club sounds perfect for all of you & as the first session is free, you can always just come down & check it out. Hope I’ve answered all questions :)

Re: Fun netball - Elizabeth (7th Jan 2019 - 21:39:50) Having read the others- I might just show up too. In my 50's too. Played at primary school adn then for fun during the uni holidays.So not played for 30+ years - also not fit but looking to do something again.

I haven’t played netball since school twenty something years ago but it didn’t matter. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Go on ladies, give it a go, you won’t regret it!
