- Anon (24th Dec 2018 - 08:51:49)

After eating at the Anchor on Saturday night ( curry and rice) I woke up a couple of hours of going to bed violently sick and diarrhoea, and still Feeling ill now, just wondered if anyone else suffered after eating there , as I’m sure this was food poisoning !

More likely to be norovirus. Very prevalent this time of the year. Follow standard advice. It's highly infectious.

We have eaten three times at the Anchor since the refurbishment and can honestly say have really enjoyed the food. Had a lovely roast the last time we went, and the veg was very good.
It seems unfair to mention the Anchor as you could have picked a bug up from anywhere.

You can defo get the squits and nausea within an hour or two of eating dodgy tainted food. Or it could have taken days to multiply /develop symptoms. Depends on the person and what bacteria or virus is involved.
You could have picked this up anywhere.

Err....I had food poisioning in France in August and it took affect after an hour, this was confirmed by the local doctor, others had it at the same restaurant. There is no time limit to food poisioning so yes if two people had it from the Anchor it could well have been.
