Good things - spoilt

Looks like the little (and probably some large) horrors have pulled all the daffodils etc out of the Liphook in Bloom beds through the village. Wouldn't have been so bad if they'd taken them home to Mum - if they have any parents. If the police toured the village occasionally (and not at 7.30 in the evening) it might be some deterrent.

I am guessing bigger horrors as a load of daffodils in Lindford were scattered over the road this morning as well.

I was very saddened & very angry driving through the village this morning to see that some low life hooligans have had nothing else better to do than pull up all the lovely daffodils that the great & dedicated Liphook in Bloom volunteers have spent hours & hours making the village look one of the best in the south.
My husband drove through Lindford this morning & they too have suffered in the hands of these low life thugs.
Shame they haven't got anything better to do than wreck lots of peoples hard work, & destroy the beautiful flower beds!!!

Probably the hardest work they have ever done. Its a shame that they won't be caught when the community service could be doing the planting of the summer beds..

Is it just possible that the culprits may have been caught on one or other of the new CCTV cameras in the square?

Now the youth club, I mean Anchor, is closed what else do you expect them to do?

I am also spitting feathers about the mindless idiots probably from Lindford that destroyed many peoples hard work for again 'a bit of fun'.

I understand that the police were called at some early time as the flowers outside the Parish offices were being wreaked but not having access to their records i would assume they arrived, gave out a crime number and retreated back to the bunker. I would like to know if they actually had a cruise round or if that was that as far as they were concerned.

Having spoken to some Bloomers over this incident and there policy approach is not to make any fuss I think the 'oxygen of publicity' approach should be amende in this case.

And finally would it be to much to ask our parish Councillors and indeed our local District Councillors to have a look at their various discretionry funds and see if something could be given to the community rather than being stashed away 'for a rainy day' I think that day has arrived.

Rant over!!

.. And I think the money should be spent on some nice pyracanthus bushes to be planted in with the flowers....

That's a good idea Liz....it would certainly give the scum-bags a surprise!!!
