Is this the Brexit feeling ? - BT (20th Dec 2018 - 16:45:31) Went to collect my prescription at the chemists today and was told that one of my tablets has been unavailable for 3 weeks and they do not have a date for another supply. Was able to get a substitute prescription by going to the surgery where the receptionist was very helpful. Is this a precursor of Brexit or just a world shortage of tablets due to the manufacturer not being prepared ? Just information in case others are having problems - no need for anyone to turn this into a rant !!!!

Re: Is this the Brexit feeling ? - David (20th Dec 2018 - 19:29:11) The EU is the second biggest economy in the world, and our biggest trading partner, and we have told them to do one... so it wouldn’t surprise me that much of what you like to or need to have including medicine will become fairly hard to get ahold off. Don’t need an expert or a leave or remain person to tell you that, it’s basic common sense

Re: Is this the Brexit feeling ? - liz (21st Dec 2018 - 07:33:45) I am not a Brexiteer but you can't blame this one on Brexit as there are no changes to imports/customs as yet. It could be a problem with the chemist's suppliers but it's odd as there are usually a number of alternatives. Probably best to ask the surgery if there is a longer term supply problem and if you need to be prescribed an alternativeif that's possible.
