Suspicious
- Jo (18th Dec 2018 - 23:19:47)

Hi all
I parked my car outside Lloyds chemist for approx 3-4 mins last night while I went a cross to the Chinese shop. When walking back to my car there was a young lad in dark clothing with hood over his head looking at my car and looking around it. He said alright to me as I got nearer to him and he walked off. There would be no reason for him to be there other than to do something to my car.

Be extra vigilant

Or you could be paranoid! how do you know he had no other reason to be there?

Still no harm in stoking up the culture of fear and suspicion I suppose

If the individual was 'looking at my car and looking around it' in the Lloyds Pharmacy car park, with no other reason to be there, it is reasonable to assume that he was taking an interest in the car, Rolli. Your comment seems very unnecessary. This sort of trolling just puts people off using web forums like this.

Jo, did you park in the car park or on the road? If it was the latter, he could have been looking at your car wondering why it was so inconsiderately parked! Quite often people park on these yellow lines to nip in to collect their takeaway and then obstruct the Midhurst Road. And if you were parked in the chemists car park you shouldn’t have as it is for customers of the chemist!

For all we know the individual may be a car enthusiast. I'm guilty of looking at cars closely that interest me.

Maybe this Rolli is just a bit ignorant that this car park is a known car crime hospot ? Or is he the Mr Hoodie in question or related to him?
I believe I also saw this same man. He even wore a hood into the chemist so he stood out like a sore thumb. It was not cold outside or raining inside mate! ... Why the hood indoors are you hiding something or just being a numpty? :)
On a serious note. Just make sure you don’t leave any valuables on display in parked cars. This time of year even more theiving scum will be out stealing to fund their extra Christmas spending and to fill Santa’s sack full of booze, fags and drugs :)

Thanks Jo for the warning, very public spirited of you.

Rolli,
I am not paranoid. Chemist was closed. My car and one other car parked in the car park. I was only gone 3-4 minutes as I had already phoned my order through. Imo no other reason to have been there acting the way he was unless up to no good. Just thought i would warn others.

Rachel,
I was in the car park and not on the road. Chemist was closed at 8.30pm and the car park actually belongs to kelway law not the chemist.
