Road to Passfield closed 14/03/11 for a week - Art Woodhouse (11th Mar 2011 - 13:14:22) I see there is a road closed for a week warning sign just as you go over the A3 bridge on the road to Passfield but haven't yet found another sign to see where it ends. Does anyone know what they are doing?

So presumably it is the whole stretch of road. No idea what they are doing. Will make my journery from Lindford to Liphook very hard.

Pretty sure that you can get round this problem by turning down tunbridge lane in Liphook, and then going via the lanes till coming out at headley green, and then turning left to get to Lindford... If you're not a fan of the lanes then you would need to go down the A3, and then up through Whitehill and Bordon. Hope this helps! :)

Road closed to through traffic from approximately 09:30 to 16:00hrs. Access to residents will be available.

The road will be closed from the A3 bridge to Lindford on Monday and Tuesday (weather permitting etc) only from 9.30 until 4pm. It is for road resurfacing/pothold mending. There will be clearly signposted diversions to take people where they want to go.

Is there no overall planner somewhere who could phase these road works so that they don't coincide? I dont know about people wanting to come to Liphook, pretty soon no one will be able to get to Liphook! Paul Robinson

Re: Road to Passfield closed 14/03/11 for a week - Rhys G (14th Mar 2011 - 11:49:37) Don't forget the Elgin website which lets you search for roadworks by postcode or through the map: www.elgin.gov.uk I didn't realise the works on the Haslemere Road are planned until June!

However I would like to remind drivers that these are SINGLE TRACK roads and should be taken with care. Already this afternoon a vehicle ended up on it's side at the bottom of Burgh Hill road. There are of course alternatives which are using the A3 but we all know how congested that road gets!

They're a bit slower to get going this morning. They had all the signs up early yesterday, but I ignored them and drove along the road - because we were told that it would close at 9.30. I guessed they were getting all the signs out in preparation - and the road was still open.

Re: Road to Passfield closed 14/03/11 for a week - Dawn (15th Mar 2011 - 17:52:12) I drove past the Closure Barricade at 4pm this afternoon as the school bus is not running to Passfield. No work men at all! I wonder if they forgot to turn up today?

Re: Road to Passfield closed 14/03/11 for a week - Anne (16th Mar 2011 - 09:31:29) I live in Liphook and work in Bordon however, this morning there weren\'t even any Road Closed signs, just the ones saying that work will start 14/03/11 !!! I drove straight through without any hold ups and no sign of \"men at work\"
