Carnival Quiz Night - Kath Harvey (11th Mar 2011 - 08:57:17) Hi everyone Our first fund raising event of the year is the ever popular quiz night which this year will take place on Friday 13th May at the Millennium Hall. Teams are usually made up of 6 people and tickets are £10 per person to include supper. There will of course be a cash bar and as usual lots of atmosphere and great rivalry between teams. Tickets will go on sale at the Millennium Hall and Parish Office in the next few weeks. Last year was a sell out and we had to turn people away so it would be a good idea to get them as soon as you can. It should be a great night and a lot of fun and we look forward to seeing everyone pit their wits against their 'rivals' - especially Finchie v Paul Robinson. May the best team win!

We are delighted that we have had such a great response and that we have a packed house again on Friday night. The questions were challenging and intriguing, the food was splendid and lashings of it. For members of 'Finchie's Fan Club' I can report that the great man himself made a rare public appearance and, assisted by his team, succeeded in trouncing the 'Headley Road Headcases' so honour is restored . . . until next year that is!
