Drug dealers @ London Rd Memorial Bridge
- Steve (20th Nov 2018 - 23:35:54)
They are back yet again dealing from a car parked by the Canadian Memorial Bridge. 11pm and two men were handing out packages to young men. It’s like flies to sh..... rather bees to a honey pot. Tried dialing 101 but it was just ringing out each time. Decided not to do the plods job for them and get my head kicked in by Liphook’s underbelly and carried on my way.

This is the sort of thing that we MUST get our police to deal with.
Maybe a Facebook post will get more response than a phone call?
I don't know what to suggest if they can't even answer the phone?

Steve
I think if they were in the process of dealing you could have dialled 999? 101 would be to report it after the event (I believe).

I just went on facebook messenger to the Hampshire Constabulary page.
This is a transcript:
In Liphook we have a problem with drug dealers who regularly operate from the Canadian Memorial Bridge. Although that is a blight on our village - I am concerned that this person says he tried and tried to call you on 101 but got no answer at all? Can this be correct? Do 101 calls get left unanswered? (Link this post on talkback).
Good morning Dawn,
101 calls do not go unanswered however we are incredibly busy and there is often a queue unfortunately. Matters can be reported online on our website if you are unable to sit in a queue.
Kind regards,
Natasha 16182
To what address, please? I will put all the info on the village Talkback page, so can you give me a link, please.

If you are unable to get through on 101 please use this link to report what you have seen: www.hampshire.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/how-to-report-a-crime
The police have said Intelligence information such as colour, make, model and vehicle registration would be of interest to them. Also any names or descriptions of those attending the vehicles. This information can be submitted via 101, online or alternatively on Crimestoppers, if wishing to remain anonymous.

By the time the police arrive (oh forgot there are no longer any local police) the pooly parented /educated local bred herbots will be long gone. They will leave in a symphony of tyre squeelling and loud exhausts. With jungle beats banging on the stereos of their poor man’s performance cars. Of course this is very impressive to their equally intelligent squeeling girl and /boyfriends 😁

However, PLEASE do report it.
Please.
If we stand by and do nothing, how many other young people will be ruined by this scourge?

Maybe a surreptitiously taken phone camera picture? The community needs to keep an eye on this and make sure it doesn't get out of hand.

I actually saw a police car in the village yesterday evening. couldn't believe my eyes. Husband and I nearly had to stop the car to make sure we weren't hallucinating.....

Sadly, it already is a problem.
Open taking/dealing in the car park at the end of Radford Park last Saturday afternoon, brazenly eyeballing a friend and I as we were walking the dog with our children.
Today, there is drug paraphernalia left, which my 2 year old asked what it was.
This is not a new problem in the village, but with the lack of resources, and understandably, witnesses who are not prepared to tackle themselves, the perpetrators can and will get away with it!

I think we need the police to appoint "specials" to keep an eye on the village and report (or deal with) this sort of thing.

Thing is these drug dealers have back up you go reporting them your life is in danger. the gentleman who said we need specials in the village is bang on. we used to have specials in the village about 10 years ago. mind you it didn't really stop them they were still at it then. another place they deal is sainsburys car park .

I am sure the police are not that stupid that they pass on info about who has reported the suspect for drug dealing, even if it is a close friend or family member. I personally do not know them personally but if you see it happening report it. Yes it goes on in every village town and city but it is still a crime like any other.

Think they are back again tonight . Two Asian men in dark grey saloon car parked by Radford Bridge handing out packets to youths and a man in green sports car who raced off spinning his wheels.
