Dog poo alert Portsmouth Rd
- Joan Brown (17th Sep 2018 - 17:24:37)
Just walked past the Moss Court retirement flats and some dirty dog has dropped a humongous steaming log . So be careful if you are flip flopping.

The dog is not dirty, the owner is responsible for picking up their dogs poo!

There is often dog sh@t along there. I heard the Council are thinking of installing a poo bin nearby to collect the bags.

And what 'council' are you thinking of? Not parish - only dog bins on their land. District or County then? Costs a lot to empty them!

Joan, I couldn't quite believe what I was reading when you called the dog 'dirty'. Do you honestly think that the dog was being dirty? What do you expect it to do - use a human indoor loo? Please blame the disgusting, irresponsible owner and not the poor dog. It is illegal not to carry with you 2 poo bags when you are walking your dog, you face on the spot fines if you don't have any with you and higher fines if you don't pick up the poo. Sadly there is no one to police it so these idiots get away with it and give every dog owner a bad name. Regardless of all of this though, it is NEVER the dog's fault.

I too could not believe Joan Brown's very unfair comment when she called the dog "dirty". She obviously doesn't like dogs. Of course it is the owner's fault - some people just do not care about the countryside or other people. That is obvious from not only the dog pooh fouling but the amount of rubbish discarded everywhere.

Just been out running along there. No dog fouling by either dirty or clean dogs to report. Joan it’s safe to break out the flip flops again.

The dog is doing what comes natural. The dog is not dirty. It's the lazy owner. Don't blame the dog. If you can't be bothered to clean up after your dog. Don't have one.

Says a lot about the village (or maybe just Talkback) that this topic comes up time and time again...with no resolution. S**t happens.

Some dirty owner leaves dog excrement in the alley leading onto the Berg. Children walking to school, commuters off to work and anyone that may be off for a nice walk beware. It's revolting. Who is going to clear it up for them?

Yes there can sometimes be dirty dog messing by Mosses Court retirement flats.
I am always careful to clean up after Mr Sausage. He like to go where he smells other dogs. He is very partial to a wee on the picket fence each morning as we pass.

When I were lad, no one in there right mind ever picked up dog poo and walking down some alleys was like a game of hopscotch! Happy days! Only occasionally did you step in one, but then you looked where you were going rather than being glued to your mobile phone. If you were unlucky enough to step in one you just found a stick and got on with digging it out. On a similar nostalgic note, whatever happened to rock hard white dog poo?

Not much white dog poo about nowadays as people tend not to give dogs bones so much

Just when I thought it was safe. More dirty dog poo by the flats. My Grandson has it on his school shoes again!

Yet more dirty dog poo along Portsmouth Rd this morning. But maybe it was dumped by the Beast of Bohunt Moor?

Dirty dump dog has struck again on corner of Station Rd. Be careful where you tread.

I Wish people on here would stop calling dogs dirty. Far more dirty is what I see, uncollected bags of dog poo in the countryside at least there, left without plastic around it the poo will bio degrade.
