Inconsiderate Mayor of Haslemere bonfire in the sun!! - On behalf of Hewshott (2nd Sep 2018 - 15:05:48) What a fantastic sunny day. Great for families to spend a barmy late summer day in the garden. Wouldn’t it be a great day to light a bonfire! Thank you Mayor! We appreciate that you don’t live in your constituency, but do you really need to be so inconsiderate and unneighbourly? What kind of message is this stupidity showing the good folk of Haslemere? It just shows that political double standards starts at the lowest level. Unbelievable!

And it upset someone. Sometimes I see a column of smoke or smell the aroma of a bonfire I know sure as the night follows the day somebody will be posting about how it’s ruined their life because somebody has the gall to light a bonfire without first seeking permission from the local folk. This is even worse. This chap was the mayor of Haslemere. Shame on you, leave this country and never return.

He has listed it as Hammer, Haslemere when 1 Hewshott Grove is definitely in Liphook not Hammer, or Haslemere. He has a GU30 postcode and that is always a Liphook Postcode. Snobbishness possibly? I am surprised he gets any post at all!
