phone calls - tom rowe (17th Aug 2018 - 12:06:31) keep getting phone calls from 01384409091 about blocking phone calls ,we have been getting them everyday this week

Re: phone calls - JBS (17th Aug 2018 - 13:23:27) Some relief can be obtained by Registering with the Telephone Preference Service (free) - www.tpsonline.org.uk . After 28 days, you can then report the offending number to the TPS. Another report can be made to the Information Commissioner's Office about the possible misuse of data - ico.org.uk . Should you be receiving "Silent" or "Abandoned" calls, these can be reported to Ofcom - www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/... . These steps do not stop all anoying calls, but the official bodies can only take action against the offenders if enough people make complaints!

Re: phone calls - Sarah (17th Aug 2018 - 14:54:58) It is also possible to block calls from specific numbers. I regularly block calls on my mobile and land line, makes y life a lot more peaceful!!

Re: phone calls - suzanne (17th Aug 2018 - 20:55:24) We are with talk talk and the best thing we ever did was to activate call blocking. if anyone calls us -like family or are in our phone book, the call goes straight through. if someone calls and they really want to speak to you they record a short message like 'hi its the doctors surgery' then you listen and press 1 to accept and they are through. Most spam callers just hang up.....bliss Bt offer the same service
