Political heat - liphook berates the government
- Alex Cameron (11th Feb 2005 - 19:00:48)

Beginning our new series of amusing correspondence to government by bored liphook weirdos, this is an exerpt sent to me by a very good friend who works at the department of health in Whitehall.

"I have had a delightful letter from one of your Liphook co-residents. Clearly bonkers she was warning us about a serious health hazard to liphook residents. So I thought it only my moral duty to pass the warning onto you.

What is it I hear you cry?! Well, don respirators! The hazard is, wait for it, stationary traffic!

OMIGOD!!

Apparently it's the fumes. Well anyway this good citizen had been out and even photographed the offending traffic and gone so far as to sketch a plan in childish scrawl for the re-routing of traffic. Of course I sent it on to the Dept of Transport for consideration. It was so sweet.

This is what makes the job interesting!
"

Do you know this person? Are you them? If so, i'd like to be the first to call you an utter fool, and beg with you to stop clogging up our official bureaucratic pipes, so that we can get on with more exciting and important issues such as hedge heights and planning permission for carpet shops...

Don't deflect it Alex it was YOU !! I saw you sitting on your deck chair outside the chemist camera and tripod setup infront of you and clipboard on your lap. You are often seen ontop of the reailway bridge, in devils lane with clipboard remarking how you have never seen a 32 with only one light passing at anytime of the day.

Mad as a box of frogs.

The fact that you mentioned Devils Lane really freaked me out there, as i was brought up (to the age of 18) along that road...

My god what if it was me? Am i slipping into insania?
