NCT Charity Auction Ball - Victoria Sibley (18th Feb 2011 - 09:20:54) Save Baby Talk - Dance the Night Away at the Haslemere & Midhurst NCT Charity Auction Ball Haslemere and Midhurst NCT is organising a charity ball to raise funds for its flagship parent and baby group, Baby Talk. Fake That, the No. 1 Take That tribute act, will be providing the entertainment while diners enjoy a three-course meal with wine at Old Thorns Manor Hotel. The ball will take place on Saturday, 19th March 2011. The night will culminate with a charity auction where guests will be invited to bid on a fantastic range of lots. You and a friend could become TV extras for the day on a BBC set, or treat yourself to tea and a tour of the House of Commons, a His and Hers day at Old Thorns Manor House Hotel or take a group of friends to a wine tasting session at Lurgashall Winery. Organisers are hoping to raise more than £3,000 to sustain Baby Talk over the coming year. Baby Talk is a weekly drop-in session that provides essential support and advice to parents with new babies. Chairperson Anna Alexander says, “This is a really ambitious event to help save Baby Talk. You do not need to be a member of the NCT to buy a ticket; everyone is welcome. It’s a super opportunity to meet other parents from the local area, to reward yourself with a night off or, if you have benefited from Baby Talk in the past, to say thanks and help ensure its future survival.“ Tickets cost £45 each and special overnight rates have been agreed for ball-goers.
