Road closure
- David Lambert (14th Jul 2018 - 10:02:46)

A notice has appeared in the last couple of days in GUNNS FARM ESTATE in LIphook.
It states that the road will be closed for three days next week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am till 4:00pm.
Does anyone know for what reason.
Many thanks,
Dave Lambert.

I reckon they are going to re tarmac the roundabout. Surely they have to leave access, what would happen if an emergency vehicle is needed on the estate?

For what its worth, I had occasion to 'phone Hampshire Highways to complain about the number of road closure / diversion signs littering our roads.

These include a large road closure sign at the junction of Tower Road and Headley Road. The closure was dated 18th June 2018! The phone call was immediately acknowledged with an e-mail a week ago but seemingly ignored as the sign is still there.

Some of these signs at road junctions are positioned so badly that they obscure the line of vision to emerging traffic.

Speaking as one who helps with the annual litter pick I can attest that several of these signs, hopelessly out of date, are collected in and presumably dumped each year.
