Green Dragon - No Quiz on Wednesday 11th July - Green Dragon (8th Jul 2018 - 18:45:02) The Green Dragon quiz night will not be on this week (11th July), as to the England football team won yesterday and we all be cheering them on in the semis :-) The quiz will be back on next week (18th July) and the jackpot stands at £180.00. I would also like to say a BIG thank you to the wonderful customers that raised £175.00 for the Blood Runners:- This is from the Portsmouth Hospital website: "The team of unsung heroes– or more commonly known as the ‘Blood Runners,’ work over seven days a week at no cost to the NHS, covering over 102,530 miles across Hampshire, South Wiltshire and Dorset last year alone. The miles are covered by our volunteers who use their own vehicles and pay for the fuel themselves. We did over 1500 calls in 2016, transporting over 1300 boxes of products - savings the NHS approximately £85, 000,” says Tim Bennett, a founder Blood Runner for “Serv Wessex” and charity Trustee. All of the funds raised go towards buying new bikes and running our fleet, which consist of 109 volunteers, five bikes and one van.” If you would like to donate, please come and see the friendly staff at the Dragon.
