double glazed windows/ condensation
- jaybee (4th Jul 2018 - 06:18:31)

Unfortunately, some of my double - glazed windows have condensation inside them. Does anyone have any experience with window companies who reckon they can cure this? Any recommendations

The usual fix is just to remove the blown panel and replace with new.

This is fairly easy to do. First you need to get to the panel and measure it carefully - especially the thickness, which is the most critical. Then put it back in.

Then companies like Grovewoods in Mint Road, Liss can supply the replacement glass at a very reasonable price.

I’m sure that they would quote for doing the whole works as well.

We've had a few units fail in the last 2 years, in part due to age and in part due to my son playing football against one of them!

We had replacements with Atcost Windows, very straightforward and around £120 a time (French Door unit, so full height).

Hope this helps!
