Ther has been a lot of controversy regarding questions posed to the leader of the Parish Council at the last Council meeting.
This has prompted Cllr Newman to consult a solicitor who has effectively instructed this web site to remove all references to the matter from the thread. This has now been done (Please see thread Nigel Newman- Is he fit to be the Chairman of the Parish?) under duress and other letters have been published which appear to doubt my version of events.
I am the Managing Director the local JTS Civil Engineers Ltd. I would not be so naive as to put something in writting unless I was absolutly positive that I could produce the evidence to support these assertions. The proof has already been brough to the attention of the Police and witness statements will be provided to them in due course. Likewise the Environment Agency and the Contaminated Land & Private Water Supply Officer of
East Hampshire District Council EHDC.

These are serious allegations raised by Mr Trodden, and I would assume that he would not have raised these without definite corroborating evidence.
If any of the observations are found to be correct Mr Newman ought to save this Parish Council further embarrassment and leave all public offices today and thankfully someone like Mr Trodden has had the raw courage to put his head above the parapet and highlight Cllr Newman’s “career”.
If the assertions are substantiated will all controversial Council business which has been discussed, voted on and passed (with or without Newman & Co’s bullying tactics) by a narrow majority supported by Newman be re examined?
This ought to include the £23,000 paid for “hurt feelings”, the Bohunt Manor debacle and other “dodgy” dealings. Will the good people of Liphook stand up at last and demand the resignation of Newman before he goes to jail?
I understand Cllr Newman has resigned as Council Chairman and from all Committees however he chooses to remain a Councillor.
This Thread “Nigel Newman Q’s and A’s” does not appear to be attracting many local views.
It would appear Mr Trodden has put himself in considerable danger on our behalf and no one has an opinion? Come on Liphook. A large section of our Council is rotten to the core and we appear to sit on the fence. Let’s clear them out now and get on with the business of the Village with altruistic, honest and above reproach actions.

I have been reading both the current threads regarding our parish council with interest and incredulity!
It seems to me that the parish council should all resign and let's start afresh with some new councillors - this whole debacle is quite frankly embarrassing for all the residents of Liphook.
The trouble is that, unlike Egypt, we do not have the option of letting the military run Liphook until new councillors can be found.
