Habit Solutions - Computer Wizards!
- Freddie Dawkins (7th Feb 2005 - 17:21:00)

I know some of us have posted messages here befpore, singing the praises of Brad and Brian at Habit Solutions in Midhurst Road, but over the past couple of months the guys have excelled themselves helping me.

They sourced a neat, older, IBM ThinkPad for me at a bargain price and have copied all my old hard disk across and got the system running. I lost no data at all. Now, they have managed to sort out another laptop's problem for me and update the Operating System at the same time.

Brilliant service at great prices. Forget the likes of PC World, spend your money at Habit Solutions and support a local business that we are lucky to have.

I will add to that - Brad kept the shop open an extra half hour just so my very good friend Nick could run up from the avenue to get hold of a Firewire/DV cable for his camcorder.

Now Ed, could we have a 'computer corner' somewhere on the liphook.co.uk site where they could answer common tech questions from frustrated users?

I was expecting to hear that they made your computer disappear Freddie using a spell or two.

A tech corner would be a great idea, give me something to do when I'm bored of the users I have to deal with every day.

Great idea...

Should you have the need for any emergency help until (we hope) this site is up and running, try "The Daily Telegraph's" BOOT CAMP.

Bloomin' heck! I dropped off the secondhand laptop - Windows 98 refuses to load. After three hours sitting in the shop, I returned, explained the problem to Brad, we switched the laptop on - and it booted perfectly. These guys DO have magical powers. Just their very aura fixes stuff!!

Now, did I ever mention the mother and daughter witches who once turned their car around in a driveway so tiny that even a BMXer had problems reversing...Liphook gets spookier by the hour....

I beg to differ - on the two occasions that I have visited this shop they have been no use at all! They never got back to me on the first occasion and I was missold something which became a nightmare to return on the second. I am very disappointed by the level of service given and charged! (and am not alone) and wish that the coffee shop could extend into it or something else more useful - shoe shop or back to the original clothes shop....

Yeah like Liphook needs a shoe shop or an extension to a coffee shop.

We could have a bling/chav car shop in Liphook. With all these boy racers speeding around the village it seems like a good idea.

I reckon Spearmint Rhino's would be a great idea.

I was expecting to read "and his sarcasm about the 'any key' just wasn't appropriate". How can you be mis-sold something? As in telling someone they're buying a cable when in fact its a flatscreen monitor?

Bring on the Chav Amnesty - some humorous publicity is desperately needed....
