Dr Sangita Judge
- susan pledger (10th Feb 2011 - 21:47:11)
I think it it important to keep Dr Sangita Judge and her treatment at liphook village surgery at the forefront of the Liphook and surrounding area's concern.
As there is only till the end of Feb for the petitions the signing will end. The next phase starts and we need all those involved as patients and family of patients to step up, and if someone has questions please feel free to ring me on 07767818595 for information and clarification.
We need everyone involved, as this effects more than half of us, even if you go to another surgery the very same could go on there so no-body is safe.
The health of all Dr Judges Patients are no doulbt firmly in her mind as she is seen as "one in a million" as many people have told me. Please sign soon as possible as she needs us for a change!!!!

Dear Susan,
thank you for all you hard work thus far.
I wonder if it is possible for Dr Judge to write an account of what has happened. for her to tell us what she is accused of and that she is not guilty of these things?
Considering she has already lost her job [apparently], what is the worst that could happen if she did this and stood up for herself?
Meanwhile, has anybody asked the surgery why her name has been removed?

I realised in this weeks Herald that there is an on-line petition that can be 'signed' to support Dr.Judge www.gopetition.com
For some time I had been keen to show my support for Dr.Judge and had intended to write a letter of my own opinion to the GMC. My good intentions never had time to come to fruition with one thing and another, so having read about this on-line petition I was keen to \'sign\'. If anyone else is looking for a simple way of showing support then may I suggest this option.
My only grumble about the whole petition thing is that it\'s title is 'Petition to reinstate Dr. Judge' and while I am keen to see her back I wonder if this approach will put a lot of people off signing.
It just seems a little bullish and perhaps something like 'Petition of positive support for Dr. Judge' would be more appropriate and entice more supporters. Lots of people will have been happy with the treatment, support etc. that Dr. Judge has shown them (I am) but until the GMC investigate and publish their investigation details nobody really knows what she is accused of and if having her back is appropriate.
I am sure Dr. Judge does want to keep her registration and patient support will help her, but does anyone actually know if Dr. Judge wishes to be reinstated at the Village Surgery given that it is alleged that her partners / colleagues reported her to the GMC and effectively set this whole process in motion.
I am happy with all of the GPs at the village surgery and just wonder if having them all working together again would be healthy for anyone!

Hi, desperately trying to find out if Dr Judge is practising elsewhere in the area, does anyone know? I understand she was reinstated, still don't know what happened as have only heard bits but she is a wonderful doctor.

To answer some of the questions. Dr Judge is not currently practicing in the area. Her details were removed from the Surgery wall and the rolling board two weeks before a notice was put up inside the Surgery stating that they had "just heard" that Dr Judge had "retired" from the Surgery.
Dr Judge and Liphook Village Surgery have not been able to speak because of all the legal proceeding and for either body to speak at length could have affected these proceedings. Hopefully Dr Judge and others will be able to speak out soon.
The restrictions on Dr Judge now she has been reinstated DO NOT SHOW GUILT. They are the standard restrictions put on any doctor by the GMC when they are under investigation. The suspension was also the standard action of the GMC and does not mean that there were serious allegations (in contradiction to what I heard one Dr say).
What I can make out though is that the majority of people at Liphook Village Surgery have had their hands tied in this issue because one person, with the support of a small minority, decided they wanted to remove Dr Judge by misusing rules - if this was the police not the GMC they would be liable for wasting police time.
As I listen to people both within the NHS and outside of the NHS I am hearing the same thing - a lack of trust as to what the posters going up at Liphook Village Surgery are saying and also over what the minority has done. I hope for both Dr Judge and Liphook Village Surgery this is cleared up soon.
On another issue - does anyone know of a building in Liphook suitable for a doctors surgery so we can get Dr Judge practicing again in the Village? I have noticed that North Cote on the Headly Road is empty, anymore suggestions.

Hi, Dr Judge must still be registered at Liphook because she is standing for Parish Councillor. You can only do that if you work in the parish or live in the parish.
Also, I do not think there are any restrictions vis-a-vis her place (location) of work so please don't worry.

There is rumour of a clause in the covenant/contract at Liphook Village Surgery that would stop her working at a doctor's surgery within 4 miles of the Liphook Village Surgery. This is the same agreement that allowed the removal of Dr Judge as a partner due to her suspension. If, as the rumours suggest, Dr Judge was removed suspended because of jealousy and personal ego leading to false accusations the legality of any such covenant/contract/agreement could be questioned.

Am pleased to see that Dr Judge is restanding for election for the Parish Council. I hope she gets on to carry on her work for the community even if, at the moment, she is unable to practice medicine and treat those of us who still see her as our GP.
