President Mubarak Regime or Liphook Parish Council. What's the Difference? - tracey (9th Feb 2011 - 15:56:00) After reading a number of threads and the local papers over the last few years, I am very concerned about the self serving style of our local regime. I have also been doing a bit of research. These are the questions, I feel that need addressing. Why has an independent investigation not been carried out, concerning the Parish clerks behavour? Why are the local press ignoring the reality of the situation? Especially, if there are people that are witnesses to the truth? Is it true that our Parish Clerk's cousin is Cllr Anna James? Is it therefore a healthy situation to have a family member in the "office", will he not be rather biased ,etc? On the subject of what's healthy, is it still the case that Cllr Anna James is on the planning committee at both District, Parish and her Husband is also on the planning committee at District level. Well, at least they are not on the planning at County level or is one of them there as well? As mentioned very recently on another thread, is it true that Cllr Newman is very friendly with our local press representive? Why is money being spent on solicitors in an endeavour to stop parishioners asking very reasonable questions? What gives the Council the right to spend our money in keepng us quiet? Who's paying the "heavies" that are trying to keep us quiet? It looks that we may have an "autocratic despot" regime controlling it's people, the press.
