Apart from the Green Dragon, which pubs that serve food are dog-friendly in the area?
thanks in advance

The prince of wales, the links, the deers hut, the Greatham inn, the fox and pelican, I think the crown at Arford, The rising sun Miland.

I can highly recommend Prince of Wales at Hammer.
Nice dog walk from Liphook to there, either footpath alongside the train line on Haslemere road (Just after the bridge) or along Hewshott Lane.
They serve excellent food and drink and are superb dog hosts....My dog got more attention then me!

I agree with all Helen says except that I wouldn't fancy walking under the railway bridge on the Haslemere Road, before that I would turn left up the byway that comes out opposite Hewshott Grove, then if you want a more challenging walk you can still rejoin the southern route by following the footpath that runs alongside the fishing lake and cross the river and railway back again, till you get to cross the railway line one last time by the unmanned pedestrian railway crossing near the Prince of Wales, a bit convoluted but quite fun!

A little bit further away but we phoned up the Hawkley Inn to ask if dogs were allowed in. The landlord replied 'Sometimes we have more dogs in than people!'
Fantastic ales, food and walks in the area.

I would say just about all the local pubs are dog friendly, except the Anchor (which allows them outside but beware, last time I was there, the broken glass and rubbish made it very difficult for a dog).
Not sure if previous posters have been to the Prince of Wales, since the refurb and change of management. It used to be the most dog friendly pub in the area (every time I went, there would be more dogs than people!). Not any more IMHO but still allows dogs. In addition the prices have risen substantially.
Worth mentioning that the local cafes in the village centre are also dog friendly.
Further afield the Seven Stars in Stroud is good if you are on a budget.
South Downs also has loads of good dog friendly pubs. I use www.doggiepubs.org.uk to help find them.
