How do you remove a SORN notice? - Dawn Hoskins (5th Feb 2011 - 14:28:29) My son was given an old banger, which he is now ld enough to start learning in. I can't work out how to remove the 'off Road notice' . Can anyone give me some directions please? I tried contacting the DVLA - but phone woman unhelpful and no way to e-mail them to ask questions! As the meerkat says - simples - you just tax it, that removes the SORN. So you need to get it MOT'd and insured then you can go to the post office with the V5 / MOT / ins. and get the tax disc - job done.

OMG Is there a particular place that specialises in 1st time drivers insurance? The Meerkat is quoting 3 times the value of the car!
