The local police station - Gavin Powell (5th Feb 2005 - 12:08:49) Could somebody please tell me the contact details for the nearest police station in Liphook. Nothing urgent just for my own records, thank you

Re: The local police station - Steve Read (5th Feb 2005 - 13:39:57) Gavin, Bottom line there is not one in Liphook anymore, you will have to contact Whitehill Station only 3 miles up the road or 2 Days as a patrol car takes. Re: The local police station - Freddie Dawkins (5th Feb 2005 - 15:53:13) Gavin, Steve - The Police Station is at The Millennium Centre, opposite Sainsbury's. It's manned (very) part-time and the opening hours are posted on the wall next to the door. Whitehill is also part-time these days (though open more often than Liphook). We have a new Community Beat Officer, PC Croucher (I think that's right). Met him a couple of weeks ago. decent bloke I thought. rgds Freddie

Re: The local police station - Paul Robinson (6th Feb 2005 - 07:24:06) Some years ago when I found a randy Springer Spaniel wandering around the village, no doubt on pleasure bent. It took me half an hour and three telephone calls to discover that the nearest manned police station was Alton. They were most reluctant to take custody of the dog, and with good cause as I found that by the time we got to Alton the creature had raped my Barbour jacket which was laying on the back seat!
