Sainsburys petrol
- Jenny Hoy (3rd Feb 2011 - 18:11:19)

Has anybody had any problems with petrol in sainsburys? My car was filled up with petrol (receipt to show it was a full tank of petrol) yet the car needed taking to the garage where they found high levels of deisel in the tank. I am trying to sort the matter out with the supermarket but would like to know if anybody else has had the same problem?

An engine warning light has appeared on my dashboard since my last fill up

Yes. I filled my volvo up over a month ago and then had problems with it cutting out and I thought it was their petrol but after dicussing it with friends and family, they had no problems. About 2 weeks ago I put in about £30 worth and again my car started spluttering so I have avoided Sainsburys petrol since then and once I'd emptied the tank and refilled (wiht Tesco petrol from Fleet at only 125.99!!!) it's been running smoothly again. I probably should have put something on earlier, sorry everyone.

Third attempt to send this, mystery of the disappearing posts!

We have filled up both cars - diesel Sunday and 4-star Tuesday. Nothing apparent wrong - yet.

But we were having wing mirror repaired at local garage and the guy said he'd had a BMW in with both mirrors torn off in carwash at Sainsburys. We needed to wash ours and went round, thinking we'd fold the mirrors in, but the car wash was closed.

Anyone recommend a hand wash place round here? Unfortunately circumstances prevent us washing the car ourselves. Also, the outside tap was damaged in snow.
