Liphook Crime Information

A link to the new crime database,

www.police.uk

Link updated 4th Feb - this one seems to work now

I tried looking up Liphook about 10 am today, but the site had already crashed!!!

I got on OK and there didn't seem much of interest,a bit disappointing - except we don't want it to be too exciting, do we? I'd rather there wasn't too much going on...

Having tried unsuccessfully to log in when almost everyone else in the country was trying to do the same, I tried again tonight at a late hour only to find that the site was constantly trying to refresh itself and that was it.

Now this may be teething troubles or it may just be that the police have entrusted this task to an inept company or indeed, God forbid, they may be trying to do it themselves.

Either way I still don't know if I am living in a crime free or crime rich area.

I just hope they are more successful in pursuing the criminals, at least one of which broke into the house next door two weeks ago!

There is still a problem linking directly to the Liphook page. BUT if you go to www.police.uk and type in Liphook and then select the 'crime maps' tab, it seems to work.

I got on just now and didn't have any trouble accessing it on the first day, so maybe you were unlucky?

Could not get on - just tried.

I know of too many recent attempted break ins and actual thefts in the area - that give me enough concern without this site working.
