House/Rubbish Clearance
- Neil (18th Apr 2018 - 12:56:34)
Can anybody recommend someone with a van/truck to clear away some unwanted rubbish?
My mother moved into a house in Headley and the generous previous owners left loads of stuff/tat in the garage and shed!
We’ve cleared it all out but it’s currently and unsightly pile in the back garden!!
Thanks

If you bought the house, the previous owners should have disposed of it...If rented, likely the landlord

Why do people post Irrelevant replies to posts on talkbak? Yes we know the rules but enforcing them now is not going to work! Do you have a positive reply? If not why do you feel the need to reply? We have enough negative things in our lives without enduring talkback trolls too!!

If the house isn't cleared fully and it has been purchased, then the buyer is able to claim back some money. There is a formula for this, but it needs to be done very quickly, else the buyer accepts liability, I believe.
For rented property, landlords can be persuaded to do what they need to do, it can sometimes take time!
This is not useless trolling.

We’re not going down that avenue, just want someone to come and take it away, else we’ll just get a skip....

Neil,
If you get someone to remove it, check they are licensed to dispose of it, as the liability remains with you if they aren't, and it gets fly-tipped.

I think the people on the left north of the roundabout at Hindhead do house clearance. Not sure if they will take rubbish but worth asking if you haven't found anyone.

Thanks :)
We managed to get someone to come and pick it up same day!! Result. And yes, would never pick someone not licensed.
Thoroughly recommend them - www.aghouseclearance.co.uk
