Royal Wedding
- Natalie (12th Jan 2011 - 13:36:05)

Hello All,

Happy New Year to everyone.

I was wondering if any one was planning on getting the flags out and having a street party for the royal wedding on the 29th of April?? I dont think my generation have ever really had a chance to celebrate anything like this so it seems like a nice idea.

Sounds like a lovely idea! I remember having a street party as a 4 year old when Charles and Diana got married! I must dig out the photographs to show my children!

I think it would be a great idea, be nice if someone arranged one.

At a time of austerity measures, redundancies, repossesions etc i find the royal shindig (the wedding not your party)
fantastically uninteresting!

It beggars belief that the government have given it as a bank holiday ...... if they had married on a Saturday it would have helped the economy and businesses im sure.

I know that Grayshott (as usual) is organising something for the Royal Wedding Day on the 29th...

Is there anything planned for Liphook?

I was thinking of offering customers a Royal Nepalese Wedding Reception at the Gurkha Chautari but don't know if many people would be interested to eat out that evening.
