Stacking chairs
- Allan @ The Black Fox Inn (11th Jan 2011 - 16:21:40)

We are having an early spring clean of our storerooms. We have 12 metal framed stacking chairs upholstered in grey material and in good condition, generally, which we no longer need. Rather than chuck them out we would prefer to know if they would be of use to any of the numerous clubs, etc locally.
They are free of charge but you would have to collect. If anyone or any organisation is interested, call us on 01428 723218

We still have the above. One local sports club did ask me to keep them for them on the day of my original post, but we have heard nothing since.
We will hang onto them for a short while, but if it seems that nobody would like them, then we will dispose of. Pity, because they are in good condition.

Hi Allan, just wondering if you've tried putting these chairs on freecycle? :) Helen

Hi Helen,
Liphook and Ripsley CC were due to collect them on Wednesday evening, however events happened. Let me explain; about 4.45pm Weds my next door neighbour phoned me to enquire had we had any drinks stolen from our stores. He had been dog walking through the gate to Chapel common, by the entrance to the CC, and found a hoard of drink hidden under bracken. Amongst the booty was an unwrapped case of Red Bull which we don't stock, so I suggested that it was more likely to have come from the CC clubhouse.
Half an hour later John Strong rang on behalf of LRCC to ask if he could collect the chairs that evening. Delighted said I, but whilst you are there......I told him about my neighbours call. He called me back of six, couldn't collect that night because he was waiting for the police to turn up at the CC. Guess who got broken into? Funny old chain of events, eh!
I guess he will collect soon.
