BROWN LABRADOR SPOTTED
- PETER (31st Jan 2018  12:21:04)

Travelling south on the A3 earlier near the liphook turn off.... i saw a brown lab very near to the road, attempted to stop but traffic was bad, turned around and revisited but the dog had gone.... time approx 1130am.... Think he may have gone back into the common....
hope he is ok.......

Are you saying you attempted to stop on the A3 because you saw a dog?

Would you have got out and tried to capture it too?

that's exactly what i am saying .... could have caused a massive pile up and more so killed the dog.... i would have hoped someone would have done the same for my dog...

reason for the post was just in case someone had lost a dog....

I've done this in the past- no one or dog injured or put at risk - Good on you Peter - I was more lucky mine was a black lab road not too busy that day but dog running scared actually on A3 & danger to himself & traffic at time - managed to get him in car - he was glad to be away from cars& eventually returned to owner via dog warden

I’m with you peter, I had to stop and pick up two spaniels near the slip road at grayshott. If they hadn’t been caught it could have resulted in a disaster on the road.

Hopefully the lab found its way back to its owner.

In the past, I too have stopped on the A3 to catch 2 dogs - why wouldn't you?
