Pollution in Liphook
- oldie (10th Jan 2018  12:07:29)

Hi, I've just put my Liphook postcode into the BBC Pollution Hotspot Checker and it came out as 3 out of 6, ie nitrogen dioxide levels likely to exceed the legal annual limit!

Surprisingly this is higher than my old London address and the same as that giant one way system they call Wandsworth! The whole Borough of Merton is only a 2 and that includes a lot of heavily congested roads. A little disappointed as I had hoped we were doing better, could it be that everyone drives everywhere down here? I don't even live particularly close to the A3!

Anyway if you wish to have a go here is todays link, hope you have better luck!

Did mine again, I'm still a 3, but you'll be OK Ed!

That bluesky one looks impressive, but couldn't make head nor tail of it, probably my age!

Just done mine and got 1, and I live adjoining A3. Typical internet nonsense I suggest

The Square gets a 3 while Sainsburys is 1.

Hi

I've just put Passfield postcodes in and Passfield is 1, tthe least polluted. It also says that 1 is the average for East Hampshire.

So I don't think that a 3 can be Liphook-wide.

I've also just put the infant and junior school postcode in and they are also a 1, the least polluted, and are pretty much central to Liphook.

Maybe your 3 is a blip for your postcode?

Thanks all, it must just be a blip or else they've picked up my pipe smoke on their sensors!
