BT broadband and Open Reach work
- Jim (2nd Jan 2018  19:21:18)

Hi

I moved to the Chiltley Road area a couple of months ago. Open Reach are working on the boxes at the entrance to the road and there are usually a couple of staff working there daily.

My broadband is having massive outages, and downtime in the working day. Are others suffering too? I would welcome your feedback.

I have complained to BT, but this remains unresolved.

My mother lives in Malthouse Meadows and they have kept having the same issue. The problem is, according to the engineer who came out one time, the connections are aluminium based which are brittle (so break a lot quicker than copper) and expand/contract more with the weather. This is a long term problem which is being solved one break at a time as someone in the past had the bright idea that this would save money when the lines were upgraded. So everything was replaced with aluminium and it is a "Forth Bridge" job to sort things out.

Hi, I live on Gunns Farm.I have had no phone line/ internet since 21st Dec.
My provider is Talk Talk, They told me the fault was outside my house and that open reach are dealing with it.
Then 2 days ago when I phoned talk talk for an update, they told me the fault was in my house, which is right?, I'm not sure.
The open reach "tents" have been on the Midhurst road in liphook for about 2- 3 weeks now.
Is anybody else having problems, does anybody know what's going on.

Paula. Interesting feedback, I am sure many are affected! I have contacted BTs CustomerServices Director’ not sure if it will help. Libby.barr@bt.com
