Police Presence

Its good to finally see some actual Police situated in the village with a Speed Gun pulling over cars that show contempt for the 30mph limits in our village.
For months now there has been frequent revenue generators on the A3 at the Liphook and Griggs Green exists, when they would be better placed in the built up areas near schools where people constantly speed such as Headley Road, Longmoor Road and London Road.
Keep it up please!

For a moment when you mentioned 'Police Presence' I thought great - finally some police in the village to tackle the rounds of vandalism, drugs, anti-social behaviour.
How wrong was I?

The cynic in me thinks it must be year end, and Hampshire Constabulary need to increase their revenue to hit budget (or finance a Christmas party).........
It is excellent they are catching speeding motorists, but I agree, after the "activities" over the weekend, their time could be more wisely spent in our lovely little Liphook.

If it's anything like previous speed traps it will be mainly local people caught going at slightly over the speed limit on a straight road in fine weather.
