Common civility
- Georgie (28th Nov 2017  18:41:49)

Just taking up on a point I've made on the Sainsburys glass episode, and I notice someone else has said the same thing on the food bank thread, could the editors of Talkback not make a bit of an effort to reduce the amount of nastiness on here? It does nothing to enhance our image to anyone outside the village who may be looking in - and rarely has any relevance to the original thread anyway!

Come on good people of Liphook. Give each other a break and let's try and spend the rest of 2017 being nice to our neighbours. You never know - you might feel better for not being so stressed.

Georgie,

again- to you, are you for real.................?!!

You made your points about J.S and are now boring the pants off me, what exactly do you propose ?

Common civility = humans being reasonable and thats sometimes missing even from the 'wonderful' folk of Liphook.....

2017 is almost over T.G., lets move on to 2018 and not get stuck in the past, stand still etc etc....
Maybe you should get out more and stop being so naive.

I commute daily and interact, if you can call it that with Jo Public,in all types of environments,up in town.

Leaving ones personal comments aside will just create a very dull environment....this is a forum to express ones views,if you don't like it ....don't read it !

Its called a point of view !

Merry Xmas.

Georgie, stop being so prissy, to steal from Haslemere Rants ‘just because you are offended doesn’t mean you are right’

If you are going to get involved on a public forum then you are going to have to accept you are going to encounter all sorts, if you can’t stand the heat then get out of the fire.

Shutting down debate so you don't have to challenge opposing opinion? Very socialist!

well said Suzanna and Ian, I read this post and I couldn't think of a response... you said it all and made me laugh, that brightened my day, we all love a good bitch!!! Happy christmas to you both :)

Wow. 4 responses already to Georgie and 4 justifications for WUMs and Trolls. That's how far we've fallen, people. And it's only going to get worse.

FWIW I agree with Georgie. Most people on here post nonsense they would not dream of doing or saying in person. It's all rather pathetic if you ask me.

If you can't be civil in what you're trying to say then why bother - although I must admit some people are absolutely hilarious in what they are prepared to post so my advice to Georgie is just laugh it off.
