Warning for walkers on Weavers down
- Claire (28th Nov 2017  18:40:57)

Last Tuesday I was walking my dog on the common behind The Old Thorns; unfortunately I came across a young man performing an indecent act , not even trying to hide standing on the path , he smiled having been caught , after hearing of similar acts at chappel common last year I will be reporting this - don't think the police can do much , so hence my post - be careful everyone up there, this young man obviously doesn't care. Very very unpleasant

Dirty so and so.... need to train our dogs to 'get the sausage'.
Sorry not being flippant, must have been very disturbing for you, do report it to the police, next time he might be aggressive.

Sadly, I think being "caught" might add to his thrill.
Very sad individual, hope you are not too traumatised by these events

I'm really sorry this happened to you. Definitely report this to the police please. It has happened to me and the police recorded it, took a description and sent out officers. It is a crime and should be reported as such.

Wear a chest strap with a camera next time - the police might be interested then - if they've got a good image of his face (and his sausage!).

Meanwhile, if you want a buddy to walk with - You only have to ask.
Maybe we can set up a dog walking thing in the village so no one has to walk alone if they don't want to?

Another witch-hunt, what harm inflicted on whom?
Moderator seems to be restricting my postings.
Canada, today, apologised for LGBT cold-war time witch-hunt.
Put your pitchforks down, have a merry Christmas.

[editor]Your previous post was totally unacceptable. [/editor]

I had the same thing at the back of Old Thorns twice. Young guy initially just acting odd and then next time taking a dump bang smack in the middle of the path, he knew I had seen him but wasn't bothered, creeps me out as quite isolated up there at times.

Hopefully despite what lips says the police will take this seriously. There are women who walk dogs or just walk there
Who may be autistic and have learning difficulties and really
Could not cope with that sort of behaviour. The young man himself clearly has mental issues to behave that way. There
Is safety in numbers.

I apologise on behalf of Lips, she is not representative of the average Liphook resident.

Thanks Ian lips may be a man though?

- Lips (30th Nov 2017  19:07:32)

I'd like to thank Ian for trying to help, but his apology is misplaced.
I am only too happy not to represent a group of local individuals who are ill-equipped to deal with harmless human behaviour. As a result, they attempt to justify vile persecution in the name of the right/choice to be offended...
This thread smells of dark ages sanctimonious ignorance brought on by taboos and collective hysteria. Far greater crimes go unmentioned by the by...

lips who are you and what sort of demented world do you live in when you think its acceptable to be w**king in a very public place. Is that how you get your thrills or are you the young man in question. Granted it may be natural behaviour in privacy but this was taking place in a public area and I would guess the vast majority of people wouldn't want to turn a corner and come across some idiot with his little pecker out.

Re: Warning for walkers on Weavers down
- MB (30th Nov 2017  20:21:45)

Lips, why is it OK for someone to be performing indecent acts on Weavers down and upsetting people. Wouldn’t it upset you or do you regard it as normal behaviour?

This person clearly needs help and the original message is a warning to walkers, not a witch hunt!

Re: Warning for walkers on Weavers down

Harmless human behaviour? Leaving human excrement on a weavers down path? And the indecent exposure etc ?
Symptoms of a mental problem and certainly an offence.
No one is advocating a lynching but this man should desist in his " harmless " behaviour!

Re: Warning for walkers on Weavers down
- Ian (30th Nov 2017  21:17:14)

Lips may be male, maybe female, who knows? However what is certain is he/she is a complete numpty!

Re: Warning for walkers on Weavers down
- Katie (1st Dec 2017  07:24:21)

Lips, indecent exposure is a crime and one which the police would want to hear about because a significant percentage of people convicted have or will go on to commit more serious crimes such as sexual assault.
Even if this person doesn't escalate their behaviour, it's still antisocial and criminal!

Message to editor just put a stop to lips he or shes comments just fuel anger and outrage which sadly is what this person wants . This is a free world we live in I agree but this talk back was not set up for this type of nasty remarks constantly . It's sad I feel for this person !!

Lips, why don't you come down to The Green Dragon this evening so we can discuss some of your views face to face. I am sure to recognise you by your white robes and the burning cross that no doubt you will be carrying

When I was a child, I was told the story about trolls (the ones that live under a bridge). The thing I remember from it is: don't feed the trolls.

So, nowadays, if I see someone trolling a thread (i.e. just writing inflammatory comments, designed to get a response) I remember: DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!!!

As ignorant, upsetting and offensive as the troll may be, all they want is attention - so don't give it to them - they are not here to listen or understand, they just want attention.

So, please simply ignore them and don't give them the attention they crave.
